Ennead Partner Thomas J. Wong will join Dr. Kenneth Lacovara, Professor of Paleontology & Geology and Founding Director of the Edelman Fossil Park, and Andrew Sniderman, Senior Associate & Creative Team Leader at KSS Architects to give the keynote address for the Mass Timber+ conference.

In their talk, "Dinosaurs & Mass Timber: What’s the Connection? The Story of the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum" they'll discuss the hybrid structure's beautiful applications of exposed GLT and glulam. They will also address why mass timber was used, and its connection to the dinosaurs.

Ken Lacovara will explain how dinosaurs are key to the future of climate change: “As we move into an uncertain environmental future, it has never been more important to understand the past.” By bridging the ancient past with modern sustainable practices, the presentation highlights how understanding the history of life on Earth can inform smarter, more sustainable choices today, particularly in how we build. They will discuss how the architectural design of the museum integrates and reflects these themes to offer a holistic view of our past, present, and future.
