The Public Theater has broken ground on the renovation of the Delacorte Theater.
Ennead was commissioned by long-standing client, The Public Theater, to help with the revitalization of the 59-year-old theater. The new design for the 1,872-seat theater is dynamic, contextual, and will improve accessibility and resilience for this much beloved cultural space in the heart of Central Park.
"We’ve worked closely with The Public Theater to create a new Delacorte, re-envisioned to be more dynamic, welcoming, accessible, and inviting for patrons and artists alike," said Ennead Principal, Stephen PD Chu.
