该适应性改建项目在将这座26层高的商民两用建筑——哈德逊宾馆成功重建为伊恩•施拉格摩根酒店集团旗舰酒店的同时，也在曼哈顿中城再树起又一令人侧目的奢华酒店式建筑。
It's been open for five short days, but already the Hudson is turning into a playground for the fashionable and famous. The new Ian Schrager hotel at 356 W. 58th St. near Ninth Ave. an unlikely location for a hotspot has seduced the city's tastemakers with its imaginative decor, multiple bars and leafy outdoor dining areas.
酒店的一至四层为公共使用场所，其内设有室外餐饮露台、图书馆、餐厅、会议中心、康健中心及相关设备；二楼为雅致休息区，其上则是1,000间酒店客房，其中15-24层为私人聚餐和相关活动预留场所。
为与新建大堂及位于曼哈顿中城58街的酒店新建入口相呼应，建筑原有的贯通街区大堂亦被修复保留——巨大玻璃幕墙下的六尺高自动扶梯将载承访客前往二层的大堂和入住登记处。
