Ennead Principal David Tepper was recently a guest on the Buildings 2.0 podcast. The episode explores the evolving landscape of architecture and the profound impact of AI and other emerging technologies on the future of design and architectural training.
"I think to some extent, AI (Artificial Intelligence) is coming for our industry. Like a lot of technologies, it will replace some of the grunt work at the bottom and allow us to bring value at a higher level, so we'll be spending less time drawing details, especially repetitive details, and more time strategizing how to deliver the project."
David also addresses Ennead's unique design process.

You can't necessarily look at them and say 'That's an Ennead building' because we develop them through a process that we design with our clients. Each design problem is a unique process tailored to the particular needs of that client, and the buildings that emerge out of that partnership are very much attuned to the particular identity of that client, the particular program or mission, and the particular context that the building is in. So, that leads to a lot of diversity in the office and a lot of different ways of doing things..."
